Delete your ChawkLine account

What this page is

This page explains how to delete your account and personal data from ChawkLine (Android app com.softkarrot.chawkline and the ChawkLine website), both operated by SoftKarrot.

If you still have the app

Deleting takes a few seconds and needs no one’s help:

1. Open the ChawkLine app and make sure you are signed in.
2. Go to Profile.
3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
4. Type DELETE to confirm.

Your data is removed straight away and you are signed out. There is no waiting period and no way to undo it.

If you no longer have the app

Email support@chawkline.com from wherever you like, with the phone number you used to sign in and the subject line Delete my account.

We will send a one-time code to that phone number to confirm the request really comes from you — we cannot delete an account on an unverified request, because anyone could send it. Once you confirm, we delete the account within 30 days, and in practice within a few working days.

What gets deleted

• Your profile — name, phone number, email, WhatsApp number and profile photo
• Your saved delivery addresses
• Your cart, wishlist and saved-for-later items
• Your support chat history and any files you sent in it
• Your reviews and ratings, and the photos attached to them
• Your notifications and push notification tokens
• Your in-app activity and search history

All of it is erased permanently. None of it can be restored.

What is kept, and why

The record of orders you have already placed is kept, because we are required to hold accurate sales records for accounting and tax purposes.

Those records are stripped of everything that identifies you first. Your name, phone number, WhatsApp number, email address and street address are erased and replaced with a placeholder; what remains is the order’s items, totals and delivery region, which cannot be traced back to you.
